He was born in rural Fond du Lac, on the family farm, on November 9, 1917, a son of George and Edith Hansen Scott. Milton attended Willow Lawn School of rural Fond du Lac.

In addition to working the family farm, that was established in 1861, he worked at ASCS office, KA Boulay Lawn & Garden Center, and for Dr. Born Veterinary Clinic.

Milton was a lifelong member of Church of Peace U.C.C., where he served on the church council, was an usher, taught Sunday school for many years, was a member of the Men’s Club, and played on the dartball team.

He belonged to the Empire Thresheree Club, Oakfield Conservation Club, Fond du Lac Aerie Eagles Club 207, and a charter member of the Town of Fond du Lac Volunteer Fire Department.

Milton truly enjoyed his many fishing trips to Canada. He was an avid hunter and general outdoors person. He especially enjoyed showing photos of his many experiences and travels.

He is survived by a nephew, George (Mary Ann) Scott of Fond du Lac; three nieces: Joyce (Carl) Frazier of Fond du Lac, Polly (Dave) Flury of Janesville, and Sharon (Larry) Podeweltz of Brownwood, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Harold (Louise) and Demerritt (Pauline); three nieces: Helen Hoge, Carol (Mark) Pittl, and Maxine Linde.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Church of Peace, 158 South Military Road, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Jennifer Dawson and Rev. James Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.
